I have been working as a Counsellor for over 15 years. During this time I have worked in a charitable setting, the NHS and private practice. I have worked in the corporate sector and understand the different stresses working in this environment can sometimes pose. Currently I work in private practice and am affiliated to the Dr Julian Medical Group practice.
My training was in Integrative Psychosynthesis, which means I draw on different approaches including psychodynamic, psychosynthesis, gestalt and Jungian. I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist.
We all, at some point in our lives go through tough periods. You may be experiencing relationship difficulties, suffering from low self esteem or searching for a sense of identity or self worth. Deciding to undertake counselling or therapy can very often be an important step in making sense of our present and our past. It can provide a safe and confidential space to explore what you are struggling with. I offer an initial 30 min free phone consultation to enable you to discuss what you want help with and to establish if we would be a good match. It is important that you feel comfortable with the therapist you decide to work with.
Some of the more recurring issues I work with include depression, anxiety, self esteem, stuckness, trauma, relationship problems and loss.
I abide by their ethical framework of the BACP.
